The fallen trees are cut into various size wooden rounds. They are glued onto a Birch wood backer with a clear waterproof construction adhesive. It is then covered with a paint wash to give it color but also let the natural wood grain show through. It is then coated in a water based acrylic top coat to help with moisture resistance.
